Undergraduate courses generally cost in the range of €8,000- €15,000 per year. Similarly a PG degree could cost somewhere between €9,000 to € 20,000 per year with some costing more depending on where you study and what you study.
An average student is expected to spend €8,000 to €11,000 in living expenses including accommodation and other services. But again, the upper limit of the range is dependent on each student’s personal lifestyle and habits. The cost of living in Ireland is much lower compared to other similar countries.
It is mandatory for international students to have an insurance policy as International students are not covered for any medical attention. As International students are required to show proof of comprehensive medical insurance, both, when applying for student visa as well as when registering with the immigration authorities in Ireland.
You have to demonstrate that have the capacity to fully partake in your chosen course and also satisfy the Visa Officer in this regard.
To study in Irish Universities or colleges, International students are required to crack English proficiency tests like International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Ireland also accepts Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic & Cambridge English Language Assessments (CELA). Each level of study has particular score band requirement for each of these tests. There may also be certain other examinations which students might need to crack before being eligible to study in Ireland (depending on the programme they wish to study) such as GRE and GMAT amongst others.
